F9 Professional

F9 Professional is a customizable solution which allows integration with ANY ERP general ledger system. It differs from hotlink F9 in that it is a datamart application, F9 Professional extracts data required for financial reporting from your GL database into a small, specialized database (F9 datamart) and F9 reports run off of the datamart.

For organizations with a large volume of GL data or an ERP system that is heavily used, datamart solution is often the preferred method in order to minimize the impact of running reports against the source system. Also, F9 datamart is optimized for reporting so that report run times are quicker than going directly to the GL. For organizations running an accounting package without a hotlink F9 solution available, F9 Professional is a quick and flexible way to bring F9 to your financial reporting environment.

F9 Professional uses two integration methods: ODBC and ASCII. You can connect to your GL as long as you have an ODBC driver for your GL database or are able to extract a text (ASCII) file out of the system. Typical integration time is in a matter of days instead of weeks or months.

For F9 Professional, F9 Account Security provides a way to set up role-based security over F9 data. You can now restrict data access based on users’ role as well as control F9 functionality for specific users. You may create users and groups and set security based on different general ledger dimensions (by company, division, department, year, balance type, etc.) all the way down to account level security

F9 Professional works with over 150 General Ledgers, including ones like:

F9 can report on any combination of accounts/segments using ranges and wildcard characters. There are many period specifiers that can be used, individually or in combinations.

Scheduling and Distribution

Easily manage and automate F9 report generation using Report Manager. Full reports or even a spun-off subset of worksheets within a workbook can be scheduled to recalculate on a time or event driven basis and also easily e-mailed to distribution groups and address book contacts.

Consolidation and Budgeting

F9 can consolidate general ledger information across multiple databases, companies, and departments. F9 can also report on multiple budgets in Microsoft Excel. Budget values can then be modified and written back to the source database.
